Driving Directions To Edgerton Park Conservancy
From Milford and Points South: Take Interstate 95 North to exit 49 (I-91). Take I-91 to Exit 6, turning right onto Willow Street. Take Willow Street until it ends at Whitney Avenue (0.8 miles). Turn right onto Whitney Avenue and travel approximately 0.6 miles, to Cliff Street, on the left. Go up Cliff St one block and turn right onto Edgehill Road. The entrance to the Park will be through a gate on your right, after about 0.1 miles. For meetings, drive through the gate and park inside.
From Hartford and Points North: Take I-91 South exit 6 (Willow Street).Turn right onto Willow St. Take Willow Street until it ends at Whitney Avenue (0.8 miles). From Guilford and Points East: Take I-95 South to exit 48 (I-91 North), towards Hartford. Merge onto I-91 North and take Exit 6. Turn right onto Willow St. Take Willow Street until it ends at Whitney Avenue (0.8 miles). Turn right onto Whitney Avenue and travel approximately 0.6 miles, to Cliff Street, on the left. From Ansonia and Points West: Travel on CT Route 34, Derby Avenue. (Derby Avenue becomes New Haven Avenue and soon changes back to Derby Avenue.) Turn SLIGHT right onto George Street. Stay straight to go onto George Street. Turn left onto Howe Street. Stay straight to go onto Howe Street. Turn right onto Whalley Avenue. (Whalley Avenue becomes Broadway.) Turn SLIGHT left onto Elm Street. Turn left onto Church Street, which becomes Whitney Avenue. Turn left onto Cliff Street then right onto Edgehill Road. Look for the opening through the gate on your right. For meetings drive through the gate and park inside.
Alternate Route: Wilbur Cross/Merritt Parkway (Connecticut Rte. 15). Take CT-15 to Exit 61. Take Whitney Avenue eastward (i.e., if coming form the south, turn right onto Whitney Avenue; if you coming from the north, turn left onto Whitney Avenue). Travel on Whitney 3.4 miles through Hamden toward New Haven. At the New Haven line look for the great stone wall that surrounds the Park. Cliff Street will be on your right, at the end of the wall. Go up Cliff St one block and turn right onto Edgehill Road. The entrance to the Park will be through a gate on your right, after about 0.1 miles. For meetings, drive through the gate and park inside.
